I really wanted to love a small, local business who sells native plants, but I've had it with City Roots. My partner bought 8 plants, 4 in small pots and 4 in quart pots. City Roots charged double for the quarter pots, but the plants were the same size as the plants in the small pots. This made planting the plants in the large pots very difficult, because when I took them out of the quart pot, all the dirt fell off, exposing the roots. This is due to the fact that the root ball did not fill the larger sized pot. Over the years, several times I have call ahead of going to City Roots to ask if they had the plants I was looking for. They always told me they did have them, but when I showed up, they did not have them in stock. There are better, more honest businesses to get your native plants than this place. Avoid City Roots.

An amazing selection of native plants ranging from trees and shrubs, to grasses and wildflowers. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about what they offer and gave great advice on what I could grow in my landscape and where. The plants I bought from them are THRIVING after being planted which was such a surprise, as I was worried how they would do once put in the ground. Thanks to their expertise and selection, I now have an excellent start to a native flower garden!
